“First Impressions'' was produced by Amy Aileen Wood (Fiona Apple, Sharon Van Etten), and features East Coast mainstay Kinley Dowling on Violin. Few artists have the chance to record their first single with such heavyweights but thanks to the Music PEI’s Golden Ticket Program, Reade was able to work with her dream producer and musicians. The collaboration started with Gauvin and Wood trading ideas via email and after the musical arrangements were set, the sessions were conducted virtually with Amy (who is thankfully an early riser), joining in from California.
